Player’s Name: Kait/Lavinia/O Great Admin (whutev)
Display Name: Lavinia Lionsgrave
Player's Gender: Female
Roleplay Experience: approx. 8 years on and off
--------
Name: Aijari Marubi [pro. aay-SHAR-ee] (Aija for short [pro. Aisa])
Species: Human
Gender: Female
Age: 26
Appearance: Shortish, Aijari is only 5' 4" with lightly tanned skin; shoulder-length, wavy black hair often confined by a golden brown cloth; light brown eyes bordering on gold. She standardly dresses in light-weight black clothes with brown leather vest and boots. She has a companion in her black harbor rat Witherheart. With knives concealed in her boots, the only visible weaponry are two knives on her hip, nestled between a few plain belt-pouches.
Personality: Secretive, stubborn, and street-smart, Aija is self-sufficient and mildly difficult to get to know intimately. Detesting dishonesty in a person's personality, she is unlikely to sugar-coat her thoughts and opinions.
Biography: Though she grew up with loving merchant parents in the streets of Wildford, with three younger brothers and an older sister, Aija turned to thievery in order to supplement her parents' income. She held an odd affinity with the harbor rats whom she could often convince to sneak into more wealthy houses and bring her hardly-to-be-missed trinkets which she would sell. After her father's death when she was 19, she left Wildford and took up residence in the streets of Wing-over-Sea where more boats coming in provided more prosperous thieving. Joining a street dancer and an old mandolin-player, she stole purses from the distracted crowd with the assistance of a harbor rat she fondly called Witherheart. Now, with a few more coins in her pocket than she started with, she's split from the pair and travels on her own in a half-hearted search for her mother and siblings.
Sample: Crouching in the tawny, midday shadows on an alley in the harbor district of Wing-over-Sea, Aijari eyed those walking past, evaluating clothing, the bulge of purses, her prospects. Soft music started playing nearby and the ears of the black rat on her shoulder pricked up. Reaching up a hand, she absently pet his head, mumbling, "Hold, Wither, hold...." The music began to pick up; a slim girl in a flowing blue dress started dancing. The flow of people from the docks and sea-side market slowed as people began to gather, some clapping and cheering.
Wait, wait, she thought, her eyes flicking about the crowd. "Go left, Wither," she said, setting the harbor rat on the ground and watching him slink through the feet of those watching the pair. Standing, she checked her knife and sidled into the crowd. Cutting cords, three pouches discreetly found their way into her pocket as she returned to the shadows. Witherheart scampered in as the music died away, a large, fat purse gripped in his teeth. "Good catch, Witherheart," she said, snatching it and him up. Offering him a small tidbit of cracker, she glanced left and right through the crowd to see if anything had yet gone awry. "Let's get out of here."
